Workshop MS EXCEL useful tips and tricks will guide you through the tips, that will improve your daily life with MS EXCEL.
The workshop lasts 3 hours and it’s split into two 90 minutes blocks, to maximize participants attention.

How to improve your efficiency on EXCEL sheet
- How to customize the Quick Access toolbar – how to get quick access to the EXCEL functionalities you use the most?
- Which useful keyboard shortcuts you need to know – how to move faster on the sheet and how to highlight parts of the data more efficiently?
- How to freeze panes – how to use the Freeze panes functionality to freeze several rows and columns?
How to understand TEXT and DATE format type
- How to understand numbers stored in TEXT format and how to work with it properly?
- How to understand DATE format in EXCEL and why is this understanding important?
- How to work with the tricky data – numbers stored as text, dates stored as numbers, etc…?
Conditional formatting
- How to format cells that contains specific value?
- How to format rows based on the value in one column?
- How to show the color scale of the salaries using conditional formatting?
- How to display data bars, that show what percentage of the maximum salary does each employee earn?
Sorting and filtering
- How to apply a filter and how to work with it more efficiently

How do I lead the workshop?
I lead the workshop ONLINE LIVE, via Zoom (in case your company prefers different meeting app, let me know on info@love2teach.sk). The training lasts 3 hours and it’s split into two 90 minutes blocks, to maximize participants attention. I strongly prefer that your employees work together with me during the sessions on their computers. In this way they can work on the assignments on their own and ask me the questions directly.
What do you need for the workshop?
- reliable internet connection
- installed version of MS EXCEL. I lead workshops with the version MS Office 365, but the participants could use older/other versions. In case you are not sure about the EXCEL version, contact me on info@love2teach.sk
Communication with the participants during the workshop could be led via chat. In case you prefer live QnA, make sure that your employees will have microphones.

Who will teach you?
Mgr. Veronika Baláž
„I graduated as a teacher of mathematics and physics at the University of mathematics, physics and informatics in Bratislava. Although I love teaching, after my studies I started to work in the multinational corporations. I was gaining hands-on experience in various positions, for eight years. This period brought me a lot of practical knowledge in Excel, VBA and SQL programming and Power Query.
After a half-year sabbatical, I started to teach again, this time as a freelancer. Two years later I founded my own company – Love2teach s.r.o., where I help employees to grow in MS EXCEL and Power Query.“
