What will you learn on the workshop – MS EXCEL formulas and functions?

Workshop MS EXCEL functions is designed for EXCEL users, who do have basic experience with work in EXCEL and need to learn how to work with formulas and functions. 

This workshop will provide you with the answers to the following questions:

• How to work with arithmetic operations +,-,*, /?
• How to work with the formula bar? 
• What is the difference between a formula and a function in EXCEL? 
• How to insert a function to the EXCEL cell?
• How to distinguish mandatory and optional arguments of EXCEL functions? 
• How to self-study new functions?

• How to insert the AutoSum to SUM, COUNT and AVERAGE your data? 
• What is the difference between the functions COUNT and COUNTA?
• When should you use the function SUBTOTAL? 
• What is the difference between functions SUBTOTAL and functions SUM, COUNT and AVERAGE?

• How to „drag“ the function vertically or horizontally? 
• How to fix a reference on a row or a column? 
• How to insert „dollars“ in a formula with the help of F4 key? 
• How to understand the work with absolute, relative and mixed references?

• selected  REREFENCE functions (except VLOOKUP and XLOOKUP, that need dedicated workshop to be properly explained)

How do I lead the workshop?

I lead the workshop ONLINE LIVE, via Zoom (in case your company prefers different meeting app, let me know on info@love2teach.sk).  The training lasts 3 hours and it’s split into two 90 minutes blocks, to maximize participants attention. I strongly prefer that your employees work together with me during the sessions on their computers. In this way they can work on the assignments on their own and ask me the questions directly.

What do you need for the workshop?

• reliable internet connection
• installed version of MS EXCEL. I lead workshops with the version MS Office 365, but the participants could use older/other versions. In case you are not sure about the EXCEL version, contact me on info@love2teach.sk

Communication with the participants during the workshop could be led via chat. In case you prefer live QnA, make sure that your employees will have microphones.
